Price: the Rogue starts lowest
At $29,490, the Rogue S is the least expensive of the three to start, about $1,430 below the CR-V LX and $2,410 below the RAV4 LE Hybrid, before destination. The Rogue SV, which adds 18-inch wheels, LED headlights and ProPILOT Assist, starts at $30,490.
Power and fuel economy: RAV4 leads on mpg, Rogue on gas-engine power
If fuel economy is the top priority, the RAV4's hybrid-only lineup is rated up to 44 mpg combined, and the CR-V Hybrid up to 40. Among the gas engines, the Rogue's 201-hp VC-Turbo makes more power than the CR-V's 190-hp turbo and is rated up to 32 mpg combined versus 30 for the gas CR-V.
Space and features
The gas CR-V has 39.3 cubic feet of cargo room behind the rear seat; the Rogue and CR-V Hybrid are close at about 36.
